About Marco Verratti

Pescara 

Verratti was born in Pescara. A technically gifted playmaker with notable passing skills, Verratti developed in the Pescara youth system, making his first team debut in the 2008–09 season at the age of 16. In the 2009–10 season he appeared more regularly for Pescara, and since then he has become a key player in the first team. His performances have generated national media coverage as a potential star of the future and Italian international.
He achieved significant media exposure throughout the 2011–12 season, as new head coach Zdeněk Zeman decided to move him into a deep-lying playmaker position in his trademark 4–3–3 formation; in his new role, Verratti immediately became a key figure of his team. Due to his success in the position, he is often compared to Andrea Pirlo, one of the greatest deep-lying playmakers and Marco Verratti's favourite player.

Paris Saint-Germain 

On 18 July 2012, Verratti signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He made his debut with Paris Saint-Germain on 11 August 2012, playing as a starter in the Ligue 1 match against Lorient held at Parc des Princes.

International career 

He made his debut with the Italy U-21 on 28 February 2012, playing as a starter in a friendly match against France.
On 13 May 2012, Verratti was included into Cesare Prandelli's preliminary 32-man list for the UEFA Euro 2012, being one of only two Serie B players (the other being Torino's Angelo Ogbonna) to be part of it. He was subsequently cut from the squad on 28 May 2012.
On 15 August 2012, he made his debut with the Italian senior team in the friendly match lost 1–2 against England in Bern.
On 6 February 2013, he scored his first international goal in a friendly against the Netherlands, when he scored the 91st minute equalizer in the game that ended 1-1
